Any Republican who objects to the measures that the President just announced should be asked a very simple question:
If you think the parents of American citizen children should be deported, are you in favor of tearing these families apart and having taxpayers support their children in foster care, or are you in favor of effectively deporting American citizen children along with their parents, when it is almost certain that those children will be back once they reach adulthood and will be less prepared to be productive citizens because of the time that they were forced to spend away from the United States?
It's really got to be one or the other, unless you permit the parents to stay here with their children.
